Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings of Gibbs Hall Barn, Dent, Cumbria, made directly with Dales & Lakes Holiday Cottages (Discover Dentdale Ltd) or through an authorised listing partner. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Booking & payment

Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel, we will try to re-let the property; if we are able to do so for the same period, we will refund any balance paid, less an administration fee. We strongly recommend holiday cancellation insurance to cover circumstances beyond your control.

Arrival & departure

Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed prior to your stay. Please contact us if you expect to arrive outside the agreed window.

Occupancy

The property sleeps a maximum of seven guests. The number of people occupying the property must not exceed this figure without our prior agreement.

Smoking

Gibbs Hall Barn is a strictly no-smoking property. You are not allowed to smoke inside the property at any point during your stay.

Pets

One well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement on short breaks. Pets must not be left unattended in the property and must be kept off furniture and beds.

Accessibility

Gibbs Hall Barn is a traditional converted barn with features including stairs and uneven flooring, and is unlikely to be suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact us before booking if you have any accessibility requirements so we can advise whether the property is suitable for your needs.

Damage & liability

Guests are responsible for the property and its contents during their stay and are expected to take good care of them. We accept no liability for loss, theft or damage to guests' belongings, or for injury, except where caused by our negligence.

Right of access

We, or our representatives, may need reasonable access to the property during your stay, for example to carry out essential maintenance, and will give notice wherever possible.

Governing law
